The Joint Venture of CEC and National Engineering Service Pakistan Ltd (NASPAK) has signed the agreement with the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) for consultancy service of metro rail transit system on the orange line in Lahore, Pakistan. The scope of service for CEC is divided as: Consulting Advice and Review of Design of Civil Works; Detailed Review of E&M Works; Resident Supervision of Civil and E&M Works and required services during Defects Liability Period of Five Years were undertaken with NESPAK. It is another great achievement of implementation of “Going Global” strategy of the company.

The total length of the Project is 27.1km with gross investment about 1.4575 billion US dollars. It is the first Landing Project which gets the high attention by the both Governments among China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Projects. It is also the first rail transit project which will be design and constructed without using China-aid money but using Chinese Standard.
